Creative Art Workshops
With 8 years of experience teaching Art and Photography, I understand the transformative power of creativity. These workshops, which can be one-offs or span over 6 weeks, provide an avenue for self-expression and skill development.
While not therapy-based, the inherent nature of art promotes well-being. However, the focus remains on learning new artistic skills and exploring individual creative flair.
Participants have the opportunity to engage with a wide range of materials including painting, clay, printmaking, mark making, and collage. Tailored to individual needs, workshops offer adaptations like sensory hand grips for reduced dexterity and silicon grips for mouth painting, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for all participants.
Art Therapy
Using Art as a primary means of communication to alleviate distress and enhance social, emotional, and mental well-being by fostering self-discovery, self-compassion, and a sense of empowerment.
Engaging with a range of art materials, exploring their healing potential allowing you to:
Explore and express emotions
Develop your sense of self
Manage stress
Learn coping mechanisms
Boost self esteem
Find your voice through a non verbal format
Explore aspects of your life through a different lens
Art and Wellbeing workshops
Bespoke Workshops tailored to your needs and requirements. Art and Wellbeing workshops work on a light touch therapy premise. They are developed and run with your specific focus in mind and should bring enjoyment and engagement with a wide range of art materials to promote your mental health. This is not formal group therapy but it could give you the opportunity to self reflect and express yourself creatively.
Workshops I run:
Paint and sip- a relaxed painting workshop which encourages the group to engage with those around them and share experiences in a supportive, creative and relaxed environment.
Zen Doodles- Spend time engaging in simple mark making in a relaxed and non judgemental environment promoting concentration, destressing and fine motor skills.
Colourful Connections- Working with colour to explore your emotions and find the joy of working with others.
Your Inner Canvas- A workshop that allows you time to reflect and explore what makes you, you.
“"The creative process involved in artistic self-expression helps us to resolve conflicts and problems, develop interpersonal skills, manage behavior, reduce stress, increase self-esteem and self-awareness, and achieve insight."
