Art Therapy
“Art therapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses visual and tactile media as a means of self expression and communication. Art therapists aim to support people of all ages and abilities and at all stages of life, to discover an outlet for often complex and confusing feelings, and foster self awareness and growth”.

I'm a registered Art Therapist with the HCPC and hold full membership with the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT). Currently, I serve as a committee member for the Northern Ireland Group for Art as Therapy (NIGAT).
My approach to therapy is pluralistic, client-centered, and trauma-informed. I prioritize individual needs and employ best practices to ensure the highest quality of care.
With experience working with clients ranging from 5 to 97 years old, I've conducted both individual and group art therapy sessions. Additionally, I've facilitated various research and conference workshops on wellbeing.
Clients are encouraged to explore and express their feelings through a diverse array of art materials, utilizing both verbal and non-verbal communication. I have experience working with individuals facing a wide range of difficulties, disabilities, and diagnoses, including:
Emotional challenges
Behavioral issues
Mental health concerns
Learning difficulties
Physical disabilities
Neurological conditions
Physical illnesses
Life-limiting conditions
